Konnichiwa form the MTC,
Well the MTC is crazy and like the elders back home said there is a lot of personal study time. We only get 3 hours of instruction with the teacher and that is mainly focused on learning gospel sentences (in Japanese) and not the basics of the language, but I've just got to roll with it. Also our teacher will not speak English hardly at all and its part of the curriculum, which is that the missionaries are to be immersed in Japanese while at the MTC, which kinda sucks cuz when we cant understand her we get frustrated and we are pretty sure our teacher, Sister Williams, is also frustrated cuz she wants to help but she can't. The other 3 hours that are designated as classroom instruction, is us trying with all the knowledge we have to teach an investigator in Nihongo (Japanese). The investigators name we are teaching is Sasaki San. During these times I really can't communicate but I am starting to understand the investigator. My companion is Elder Spadafora and he's a Provo boy. He has waaaaaaaay to much energy sometime so its hard to get him to sit down and study for long periods of time without the teacher. Our room is pretty awesome and all of us in our room, all 6 of us, are going to Nagoya. There are 9 elders and 2 sisters who are going to Nagoya from last weeks check in alone, which was like 740 new missionaries. One of my favorite parts of the day should be no suprise, it"s gym time. We get it for 45 min everyday and ours is right in the morning which is really nice. The senpei, older missionaries, are pretty fun to play with and fun to trash talk with. The food here is mama (ok) but its all good. Signing off from the MTC Love, Elder Williams P.S. I forgot to mention I saw (Jonathon) Chia on the first day I was here, it took me awhile to find Markus (Gamett), Braiden Lui made a point of finding me and I saw Elder Anderson (from our Stake) too. I play basketball most mornings and volleyball some times. Below is also a photo of my MTC District at the Provo Temple.
