More Pace Change
Well I'm back on track today, with little time to write. We had a lesson this morning followed by a little birthday party which leaves me with little time, so here’s the quick summary of the week. Last Friday ~ So yeah there was that whole mountain thing, but I actually think that happened on Thursday, it is getting hard to remember. We did buy stuff to make a ton of Oreo balls and then checked out a sports center to see if we could play basketball there. Turns out it was cool for us to go there and it was would be a new way to try to dendo (find investigators). Then we went back for a lesson, but they canceled and after that we went out contacting less-actives. And with that said, we actually did climb the mountain on this day. Saturday ~ We had a Japanese class and it was a good experience for Elder Osmond as he learned quite a bit from the teacher. I wasn't paying attention and was trying to talk to people about being a missionary and what we do, so I learned nothing, oops. Then we ran off to a lesson with an investigator at a restaurant and it was kind of awkward doing the lesson in a restaurant, but I turned out ok. We then went off to visit some FI's (Former Investigator’s) in that area. Sunday ~ So we had church, of course, and then a luncheon afterwards where we came through, once again, with Oreo balls and everyone was way glad. Again there wasn't a single one left for us to take home. Then someone was convinced that I could be good at singing so they put me in a choir thing and I had to practice after church for a long time. Yeah, I'm that bad. After that we went to a birthday party for one of the other elders, which turned out way fun. Monday ~ So as just the guys, we went out for one of the birthday. Then Elder Osmond and I went to purchase him some basketball shoes so he could play the next day. Then we went to the church and sent emails and played ping pong. We then spent the night trying to contact all the old Eikaiwa members. Tuesday ~ So I had a rough morning. During studies my DL (District Leader) decided to take me on a walk and then proceed to tell me I wasn't doing my job as a missionary, even though we are teaching more people and doing better finding new investigators, and that my mission was pretty much worthless. Well, I wouldn’t have any of it and just kind of went off on him. I think I lost my cool, not so good for me. After that I got to blow off some steam by playing some basketball with a LA (less-active). Then we ran home and showered and went to Eikaiwa. And that was our night. Wednesday ~ We had service and then ran home, quickly grabbed a snack, and then ran to the church for a lesson. The lesson went pretty well and the investigator agreed to come to conference with us next week. Yes, if you’re wondering, I still haven't seen Conference yet. We will get to watch it next Sunday. Thursday ~ We spent the entire day visiting less-actives with a member in the ward. It was way good and we made some return appointments and the member then took us out for the best tonkatsu I've ever had, it was that good. Then we went to seminary and after that we had dinner and a quick planning session and that's all we had time for. Friday ~ So we had DTM (District Training Meeting) and after that we ran to the recreation center to play some basketball, with some kids. We were able to start introducing the gospel to them and it was way good. That night we finished our planning, because our lesson got canceled. So that is where I'll leave off for today. Love, Elder Williams ウィリアムズ長老
